Before you start
Delegations must be enabled in your organization.
The colleague must have designated you as their delegate beforehand, from their own profile: "User profile", then the "Delegate in case of absence" row (see "Update your profile and change your password" in Getting started). Each delegation has an end date.
Act on behalf of a colleague
Open Hamilton Meeting.
In the left menu, click My delegators. The list shows everyone who designated you as delegate, with their site, service, company, contact details and the delegation end date.
Click the person you want to act for.
You are now working on their behalf: a Delegation banner with the person's name appears at the top of the screen, next to your profile menu.
While in delegation mode:
Every booking you create is made in the delegator's name, with their booking rights, their room groups and their site.
The menus are reduced to booking activities; statistics and administration are not available until you return to your own account.
Book and manage for the delegator
Use the application as usual: search a room, book it, add participants and services. The delegator is set as the booker. You can also open and modify their existing bookings from My bookings.
Return to your own account
To end the delegation session, sign out and sign in again, or go back to the portal ("Back to portal" in the top left corner) and reopen Hamilton Meeting. You are back on your own profile.
Good to know
An expired delegation (past its end date) is shown in red in the delegator's profile and no longer appears in your My delegators list.
The My delegators list shows only active delegations that name you personally.
