Manage resident rights and delegations

Residents (your employees) use Hamilton Visitor too — as hosts pre-registering their guests. Their own permission system controls what they may do, which visit types they may announce, and who can act for them.

Manage resident rights groups

  1. Open Hamilton Visitor, click Administration, then "Resident rights groups management" in the Rights section.

  2. Create the groups defining what hosts can do in the host portal: pre-register, consult their visits, manage their packages.

  3. Assign the group on the resident records.

Restrict visit types per resident group

  1. In the Rights section, open the resident group's visit types screen.

  2. Tick the visit types each group may announce: a standard host may create simple visits, while facility teams also announce contractor work.

Manage delegations

Hosts can let colleagues pre-register on their behalf:

  1. Delegations are declared per resident: open the resident's delegation screen ("Delegates") from their record and add the delegates with an end date.

  2. Delegates then see their delegators in the host portal ("My delegators") and act in their name — see "Follow your visits, packages and delegations as a host" in the user guides.

Persons to notify

The "Persons to notify" screen maintains, per resident or per site, the people warned for specific situations (VIP arrival, security contact). These contacts are proposed in the visit flows.

Good to know

  • Habilitations — which residents may receive which visits — are consulted by users in the Habilitations menu; their configuration follows the same resident-group logic.

  • Resident records themselves (identity, site, department) are managed in the Residents section — see "Manage residents, companies, departments and services".
