Manage residents, companies, departments and services

Residents are the hosts of every visit: their records must be accurate for reception to reach them, for parcels to find them, and for statistics to mean something.

Manage residents

  1. Open Hamilton Visitor, click Administration, then "Residents management" in the Residents section.

  2. Search, add or edit resident records: identity, site, company, department, service, phone, email.

When SCIM provisioning or a scheduled import feeds the residents, avoid manual edits on synchronized fields — see "Automate user provisioning with SCIM" (Getting started) and "Import data and clean up duplicates".

Manage resident companies

  1. Click "Resident companies management" in the Residents section.

  2. Maintain the internal companies; each resident belongs to one.

Manage departments and services

  1. Click "Departments management" and "Services management".

  2. Maintain the lists resident records point to — they feed the filters and the per-service statistics ("Top visited services").

Good to know

  • All screens follow the standard list pattern — see "Configure general settings and reference data".

  • Resident badges and access control profiles are managed with the badge tools — see the access control articles and "Manage resident badges and access control" in the user guides.

  • External companies hosted on your site are a separate dataset — see "Manage hosted companies and their staff".
