Generate and print activity reports

Some events deserve more than a duty log line: an accident, an intervention, an inspection requires a structured report. Hamilton Security attaches standardized report forms to events, ready to fill, print and export.

Fill in an event report

Reports are linked to duty log events:

  1. Record or open the event concerned in the duty log (see "Keep the duty log"). When the event's type carries a report, the Report window opens automatically — you can also open it later from the event.

  2. The report header shows the event, the agent, the reference and the version index.

  3. Fill in the form. Each report type has its own fields, defined by your organization: dates, times, descriptions, checkboxes. Mandatory fields are enforced:

    • "The field ... is mandatory" if you leave one empty.

    • "The date of the field ... is invalid" or "The time of the field ... is invalid" if a date or time is malformed.

  4. Click Validate to save the report with the event.

Print or export a report

  1. Open the report from its event.

  2. Click Print: a print-ready version of the report opens, formatted according to your organization's template.

  3. Some report types also offer an Excel file export — click "Excel file" when the button is shown.

Review and update reports

  • Reopen the report from its event to complete it as the situation evolves; the version index traces successive editions.

  • The duty log's Report filter finds all events carrying a report over a period.

Good to know

  • Report templates (their fields and layout) are designed by your administrators; if a field is missing or mislabeled, report it to them.

  • For aggregated figures rather than individual reports, use the statistics — see "View statistics and dashboards".
