Manage visitors
Open Hamilton Visitor.
In the left menu, click Reception, then "Visitors management".
Search the visitor by name. The record search offers the same autocomplete as everywhere in the application.
From the results you can:
Open and edit the record: identity, company, function, status, contact details, photo, identity documents.
Create a new visitor if no record matches.
Keep an eye on duplicates: before creating a visitor, always search first — reusing the existing record preserves the visit history.
Manage residents (hosts)
In the left menu, click Reception, then "Residents management".
Search, open and edit the resident's record: identity, site, company, department, service, contact details.
Residents are usually synchronized from your organization's directory; fields managed by the synchronization may be read-only.
Manage companies
Visitor companies and resident companies are managed from their respective records: open a visitor or resident and edit the company, or create a new company when a visitor announces one that does not exist yet.
Move visitors to another company
When a batch of visitors changes employer (or was attached to the wrong company):
In the left menu, open "Visitors and companies", then "Company change".
Select the visitors concerned.
Choose the target company and validate. All selected visitors are re-attached, keeping their visit history.
Good to know
The blacklist status of a visitor is checked automatically at each visit — see "View statistics, dashboards and blacklists".
Bulk creation of visitors goes through the import — see "Import visits and visitors in bulk".
Merging duplicate records is an administrator tool; report duplicates you cannot resolve.
