Manage vehicles and parking

When visitors come by car, Hamilton Visitor tracks the vehicle as well as the person: arrival at the parking, exit, live traffic and occupancy. Reception and parking staff share the same picture.

Welcome a vehicle

  1. Open Hamilton Visitor.

  2. In the left menu, click Vehicles, then "Parking reception".

  3. Find the expected vehicle: search by visitor, company, resident, badge, purpose, plate, brand or model. Select the Parking when your site has several.

  4. The filter switches between Expected vehicles (default), Vehicles already came, and Pedestrians.

  5. Record the vehicle's arrival on its line: the visit is marked as arrived with its vehicle and parking.

Vehicle details (plate, brand, model, color) come from the visit's pre-registration; complete them at arrival if missing.

Record a vehicle exit

  1. In the left menu, click Vehicles, then Exit.

  2. Search the vehicle (same criteria) or scan the badge with the badge search button if your desk has a reader.

  3. The filter distinguishes "People on site" and "People in the parking".

  4. Record the exit: the parking spot is freed and the visit updated.

Watch the vehicle traffic

  1. In the left menu, click Vehicles, then "Vehicle traffic".

  2. Filter by site and parking. The screen lists the vehicle movements — entries and exits — as they happen, searchable by plate, brand, model or person.

Check the parking occupancy

  1. In the left menu, click Vehicles, then Parking.

  2. Pick the date and site. Two tabs show the occupancy:

    • Real: vehicles actually present.

    • Forecast: expected occupancy based on pre-registered visits with vehicles.

Use the forecast to anticipate full days and direct visitors to alternative parkings.

Good to know

  • The vehicle search criterion is available in most reception lists ("plate"), so any desk can find a visit from a plate.

  • "Whose vehicle is this?" answers plate-to-person questions — see "Search the directory and identify who is on site".

  • The Vehicles menu appears only on sites managing parkings.
