Before you start
Deskbooking administration lives in Hamilton Meeting: open Hamilton Meeting and click Administration in the left menu.
Prepare your floor plan images: one image per floor, clear and readable (an architectural plan or a simplified map).
The desks themselves must exist first — see "Configure desk properties and equipment".
Upload the floor plans
In the administration menu, click "Floors management" in the Places section.
Open a floor with the edit icon (or click Add to create it): choose the Site and Building, enter the floor name (mandatory).
In the Plan field, upload the floor plan image.
Validate. Repeat for each floor with bookable desks.
Only floors with a plan appear in the desk map's building and floor selectors — no plan, no map.
Place the desks on the plan
In the administration menu, click "Desks management" in the Desk section (the desk placement screen).
Select the Site, the Building and the Floor. The floor plan appears with the floor's desks.
Position each desk: drag its marker to the right spot on the plan. Zoom and pan the map to work precisely.
Click Save — the "Saved" confirmation appears.
Repeat for each floor. Users immediately see the updated map in Desk, then Plan.
Verify the result
Open the user side: left menu, Desk, then Plan.
Select the building and floor: your plan displays with the markers in place, green when the desk is free.
Book and cancel a test desk to confirm the flow end to end (see "Book a desk on the floor plan" in the user guides).
Good to know
A desk not yet placed on the plan still exists in lists but cannot be picked visually — place every desk you create.
When a floor is rearranged, update the plan image first, then move the markers to match.
