Configure the access control connection
Open Hamilton Visitor, click Administration, then "Access control configuration" in the Access control section.
Select the Site and configure the connection to the access control system installed there, then validate. The connection details depend on the system — coordinate with your security integrator.
Manage the access control profiles
In the Access control section, click "Profiles management".
Maintain the access profiles: each profile maps to a set of door rights in the access control system.
Profiles are then attached to visit types, visitor statuses or localisations so that check-in grants the right profile automatically.
What the integration powers
Badge encoding and activation at check-in, deactivation at check-out.
The access control history (per person and badge) consulted from the Access control menu — see "Manage resident badges and access control" in the user guides.
The access control flow list in the statistics.
Verify
Check in a test visitor and verify their badge opens the doors of the expected profile — and only those.
Check out and verify the badge is deactivated.
Review the passage in the access control history.
Good to know
Resident badges and their profiles are managed in the badge screens (Local badge) — same integration, permanent population.
Site access profiles (the site access module) complete the picture for resident populations synchronized with external systems.
