Open the common settings
Open Hamilton Meeting, click Administration, then "Common settings" in the Settings section.
Adjust the settings, organized in blocks. The main ones:
Default booking: the booking type, status and duration pre-filled on new bookings.
Default room options: layout and tariff type proposed by default.
Preparation and cleanup times: the default buffers (days, hours, minutes) around bookings.
Display options: the sort order of booking lists (room/date/time combinations), the room filter order, the room sorting key (number, name, sort order) and the room display format — a pattern mixing order, number, name, site, building, floor and capacity.
Maximum period: the cap on recurring series (number of occurrences).
Default booking filter for the lists.
Click Validate ("The modification was successful") — or "Default" to restore the standard values.
Settings apply per site when a site is selected, or for all sites.
Edit the information page
In the Settings section, click "Information page edition".
Pick the Site and edit the page content: this free page is shown to users (announcements, house rules, contacts).
Validate.
Configure the help
"Help configuration" defines what the Help menu opens for your users — point it to your internal documentation when you have one.
Labels and recipients
Two neighbors in the Settings section are covered elsewhere:
"Labels edition" (rewording the interface) — see "Customize labels and translations" in the Getting started administrator guides.
"Email recipients management" — see "Customize email templates and notification recipients".
Good to know
The application functions screen (feature switches) is managed by your Hamilton contact and is not covered here.
Test setting changes with a non-admin account: most of them change what bookers see on their first screen.
