Create the cabinets
Open Hamilton Security and click Administration in the left menu.
In the Others section, click "Cabinets management".
Add each cabinet with its name and site.
Place the keys in the cabinets
Open a cabinet's board ("Cabinet keys"): the grid mirrors the physical cabinet, hook by hook — empty positions show "Empty" with an add icon.
Click the add icon on a position to create the key there: name, reference, place it opens, tag, and whether it is a key or a master key (pass).
The board's search finds keys by tag, reference or name; the filter shows all keys, keys on the board, keys out, or overdue keys.
Edit or delete a key from its position with the edit and delete icons.
Authorize the borrowers
Open a key and click its Authorizations screen.
Search the people and add them to the key's authorized borrowers; remove entries with the delete icon.
Validate.
Only authorized borrowers can be recorded on a loan — the desk flow refuses the others.
Verify the flow
As an agent, open Key management and lend the key to an authorized borrower, then return it (see "Loan and return keys" in the user guides).
Check the loan appears in the history, and that an unauthorized person is refused.
Good to know
The keys access and management rights (rights groups) control who sees and who administers the module.
On sites with electronic signature pads, the borrower signs at loan time — the device is assigned per workstation (see "Configure workstations and peripherals").
